September, 29, 2010; Vancouver BC: In order to bring impaired driving cases under control, new penalties for impaired driving have taken effect in BC. These are extremely severe. The main aim behind the introduction of stringent laws against drunk drivers is to enhance roads safety and lessen the amount of losses and mishaps which are caused every year on roads involving impaired drivers.

Repeat offenders will have to face seven-day suspension and penalties adding $550. Accused individuals in such cases require a criminal attorney for legal representation.
